Officially named Václav Havel Airport Prague (after the last president of Czechoslovakia and the first of the Czech Republic), it is located 12km/7 miles from the city, in the area of Prague-Ruzyně. The airport houses more than 48 airlines and serves various destinations, both domestic and international (even intercontinental). It is an old airport, operating from 1937.
